May Day Picnic

May 1, students and other citizens gather at Vartiovuorenmäki for a Vappu picnic at 12-16. After all the Vappu extravaganza during the previous night, it's time to enjoy spring time in a relaxed atmosphere, eat traditional Vappu food and drink some mead (Sima) with friends. On the stage you can enjoy the Speech for Spring and performances by Sohon Torwet, Vapausaste band, and TYY's very own DJ Tiitta.

Bring a picnic quilt, some food and sima, maybe some games, and all your friends!

If you find yourself in a situation where your barbeque has spread a bit too far in the May Day picnic, you'll find proper first aid firefighting equipment at TYY's stand. SPR's first aid team and X-Sec's security stewards are present to keep the event safe. Check out the picnic map for exit routes and an accessible route! There is an accessible toilet at the event.
