Study-related consultation
Specialist for International Affairs handles issues related to student rights. If you feel you have been treated unjustly e.g. with regard to the evaluation of a course, thesis or other issue related to studies or guidance, Specialist for Academic Affairs is the person to help you. Specialist for Academic Affairs also provides help and useful tips for the people responsible for studies and academic affairs in sub-organisations, in order to influence the departments.

Consultation related to social affairs
Specialist for Social Affairs serves as a link between the operational groups of the field and is responsible for communicating the current issues related to social affairs. Specialist for Social Affairs provides counselling, if you are unaware of who to contact with issues related to e.g. income, housing and well-being. Specialist for Social Affairs provides further information on the influencing possibilities of students and on activities in the field of social affairs and well-being.
Specialist for Social Affairs also serves as a harassment contact person, who can be contacted if harassment is observed at the university. All discussions concerning eventually uncomfortable situations are absolutely confidential.

Consultation related to international affairs
Specialist for International Affairs is an expert in issues related to international matters, environment, and development cooperation at the Student Union. The specialist, for example, supports the integration of international students into the university, makes sure that students have possibilities for internationalisation, and that international students are considered in the services of the university and the student union.

Legal advice
TYY Lawyer, LL.M. Petteri Sihvonen is on duty during terms on Tuesdays from 6 to 7 pm.
The Legal Aid Commission organised by the Association for Law Students in Turku, Lex, provides legal aid service on Wednesdays from 6 to 8 pm.
Legal advice is free-of-charge for the members of TYY.
If you have questions related to legal issues concerning e.g. tenancy agreement, employment, heritage, cohabitation or marriage, do not hesitate to contact the Legal Aid Commission. The Commission does not provide counselling related to criminal or tax law and it does not draw up documents even indirectly
