Opening Carnival and the sTYYlish Opening Party

In the carnival, new students get to meet different organisations and enjoy a fun programme, which includes welcome speeches from the Rector and the chair of TYY's Executive Board, awarding the teacher and course of the year, musical performances and other sTYYlish festivities.

In case of rain, the event will be moved indoors in the Educarium building. The possible change of plans will be posted in TYY's and the University's social media pages at latest on the morning of the event day.

Event guests can use the bathrooms in the University buildings. Accessible toilet can be found next to the Educarium library. Both front doors to Educarium are automatised. The Square has a stone brick floor. When necessary, the event area can be accessed by car from the direction of Assistentinkatu and Assistentinkuja.

You'll find proper first aid firefighting equipment from Publicum. Use the footpaths to exit the event area.

Following the days festivities, the sTYYlish Opening Party is held the same evening in Marilyn, Vegas and Forte nightclubs.
