Unica

Diversity in Unica Work Community

Over 7,4 people have fled the war in Ukraine and around 41 000 of them have applied for temporary protection in Finland. (Keskuskauppakamari | Valtonen). Unica attended the Fair Work event organised by the TE services for ukrainians and other immigrants. Unica hired Oksana as a permanent employee in the end of august. Oksana tells, that the community in Unica has been welcoming and even though common language can sometimes be hard to find, familiarization to the work has been well organised. Oksana states that the biggest hurdle for ukrainians finding  work in Finland is the language barrier. Unica is pleased to have hired Oksana and hope that they can employ more ukrainians seeking refuge. At the same time the wish is, that the conflict comes to an end and all those wanting to go back home are able to do so safely.
