Summer Studies

During the summer months you can, for example, take exams and write essays. Additionally, you can work on your thesis, do practical training or other project work that is included in your study plan.

External Doors:

External doors of campus buildings locked for summer

During the summer, studying, research and working are safeguarded by locking the exterior doors of some buildings. Staff and students can still access the buildings with an access tag.

FSHS:

The assessment of the need for treatment and our digital services will serve you on weekdays according to normal opening hours, excluding Midsummer Eve 20 June.

  • The service unit in Turku will be open on weekdays throughout the summer.
  • There are no local appointments for general and mental health at the service unit in Rauma from 22 June to 2 August 2026.
  • There are no local appointments for oral healthcare at the service unit in Pori from 20 June to 2 August 2026.

Livelihood:

From 1 August 2025 onwards, students can get a housing supplement for students. This means that general housing allowance will no longer be paid to students after 31 July 2025. The change will not apply to students who live with their child or their partner’s child. They can apply for general housing allowance as before.

CampusSport:

CampusSport’s spring semester ends on 30 April 2026 and after that starts CampusSport’s summer semester (1 May – 31 Aug 2026). 

Included in the sports fee:

  • Instructed classes are organized from 2 May until 14 June.
  • Badminton and pickleball shifts are offered the whole summer.
  • The gyms are open the whole summer.
