TYY Opening Carnival 2026

Check out the sTYYlish Opening Party 2026!!

The traditional Opening Carnival by TYY is held on Tuesday 1 September 2026 in front of Educarium and Arcanum. We warmly welcome all organizations and other exhibitors to participate. In the evening, TYY organizes a great interdisciplinary party sTYYlish opening in Night Club Marilyn, Night Club Vegas and Forte at 9 pm.

The Carnival offers student union organisations and partners, university services, and TYY the opportunity to introduce themselves to new students. Is your organisation interested in participating in the Carnival’s organisation fair to showcase its activities to both new and returning students?

During the event, there is other activity on-going. University’s annual rewards for the personnel, student union’s wind orchestra Sohon torwet plays, University’s rector has their opening greetings for the semester and TYY board’s chair has their speech all in the spirit of carnival.

If your organisation is interested, we are to have short open mic -speeches (up to 2 minutes). If you want to participate, let us know about this in the form. You can also sign up for an open mic presentation this year with another organization.

Participation in the opening carnival is open to all and does not require any special registration. Through this link you are only registering to hold an exhibition stand at the carnival. (More information in your organisation's inbox.)

Registration is now open. Registration closes on Tuesday 18 August. Further instructions for organisations participating in the event and open mic will be sent out in August.

Accessibility:

Ground surface: hard-paved stone. Pathways are at least 90 cm wide. The music/stage area is located in the center of the yard. Accessible restrooms can be found, for example in the Educarium building.
