kopo-Council for the education policy board members

The council is primarily aimed at academic affairs representatives of subject and faculty organizations (=kopos). There will be snacks, and the estimated duration of the meeting is about two hours-plus, of course, an afterparty at Proffan Kellari for those who wish to continue discussions in a more relaxed setting!

As usual, the council will review current educational policy issues of importance to students from the Student Union, the university and the country. This time, the themes are freedom of science, the future prospects of free higher education studies, and the Ministry of Education's vision for higher education and related higher education reforms, such as the bill on the provision of one simultaneous degree right. After a quick review of current affairs, the Vice-Rector for Education at the University of Turku, Tapio Salakoski, will be invited to speak, whose visit will focus on artificial intelligence, which is raising many questions in the (academic) world.
