Late exam grade?
The arrival of exam results should not be lottery in the University of Turku! The Study Regulations of the university state the following on the controlling of completed studies:
“The results of completed studies shall be published and submitted to the student study register service within two weeks from the completion. For a cogent reason, the faculty, department or section can prolong the publication date of the results. The prolonging and its duration shall be informed at the exam event, at the latest."
For summer exams, the control periods are usually longer than the normal two weeks. Each faculty decides independently on the control periods for summer exams.
If necessary, TYY Specialist for Academic Affairs will send a reminder from the request of students to the examiner whose exam results are more than the provided two weeks late (without a plausible explanation). Before approaching the Specialist for Academic Affairs, the examiner should first be reminded of the exam results. If the absent-mindedness continues, the option is to send a reminder through TYY to the concerned examiner.
The reminder reviews the occurrence of late results and aims at tackling them.
While contacting the Specialist, please inform at least the section, exam/course name, exam date and the name of the examiner.
