Survey for International Degree Students

The academic year of 2021-2022 is almost over and TYY wants to know how our international degree students are doing! TYY is collecting feedback from international degree students with a webropol survey. The Survey centers around three topics, the degree programs, Finnish Student Health Services and TYY.

TYY aims to promote the interests of international degree students and this survey is one way of clarifying where we should focus on. So we hope that many of our international degree students answer the survey. It only takes about 15 minutes to answer and it is anonymous so you can give your honest feedback. The survey is open until May 31.

Good teaching and counselling are core tasks of the University. We are looking for candidates of highly qualified teaching and well-operating courses of 2021-2022. The proposals coming from students and colleagues are a great way to show appreciation for the proposed candidates.

The Teacher of the Year has been selected since 1994 and the Course of the Year since 2006. With the chosen candidates we can promote the importance of good teaching and guidance in the community.

The final decision will be made by the Rector of the University of Turku and the Chairman of the Board of TYY based on the suggestions by the Teaching and Learning Council of the University of Turku and the Student Union.

Participate in the study Tracking the Effects of Remote Teaching!

SYL wants to investigate the effects of the special arrangements during the coronavirus epidemic on the studies of university students. How have the remote studies during the special arrangements affected learning and the organisation of studies? Have the special arrangements affected getting a job or an internship?

The aim of the studies is to survey experiences during the course of last few years. A lot of studies have already been done on the effects of the coronavirus epidemic, but this study wants to deepen the understanding of the skills gap and learning loss that have not been surveyed from this perspective yet. Tell SYL about your experiences!

Both new students and those who have studied for a longer time are welcome to answer! Your responses are valuable and will contribute to fact-based advocacy.

Respond to survey until May 10th
