TYY's services, safety instructions and support for students in a tightened corona situation
Due to the corona situation, the central location and facilities of the University of Turku's Turku campus have been closed to students for a limited period until 5 April.The decision does not apply to the campuses of the University of Turku in Pori and Rauma. TYY published a info for students about guidelines and support.
How to deal with the current situation – A support webinar
How are you? In the midst of this current situation do you think you could benefit from talking to someone? If you do, you might like to participate in a support webinar where we will give you information about the kind of support that is available for you in Turku. In addition to this, the webinar will include discussion about the kinds of feelings and reactions you may be experiencing due to everything that is going on and a possibility for making questions to the panelists.

The panelists are Satu Nurmi & Anna Ryzhova, TYY, Anu Mäkilä, University of Turku and University Chaplain Mia Pusa.

Several Coronavirus Infections among Students in Turku
In the last few days, the higher education institutions in Turku have been informed of several coronavirus infections among students. Health officials are conducting contact tracing. The number of infections is so high that extensive exposures and infections have taken place among students, for example, in joint accommodation.

Take away lunches for students from Unica Restaurants!
You can now buy Take Away food from Unica Restaurants Assarin ullakko, Delica and Kaara. You can buy two meals at a time for your self and also two meals for your friend. You need to have a valid student card and a picture of your friends student card. Remember not to go to pick up food if you are sick.

The international sector of TYY, Satu and Anna, goes live!
This time we are going to give some tips on how to improve your wellbeing and boost your happiness during this spring. Moreover, we will provide you with some practical tips on more efficient internship and summer job search process.
We will also make a summary of university wellbeing and career services you can benefit from.
The event will be held in English and open to all students.

WHEN: 23 March at 16-17
WHY: We want you to be happy and employed! :D
Join our live session with or without a video and with or without a microphone. Chat is an option, too.

Uni Chaplain are available to talk
During this coming weekend if you need to talk to someone Mia is going to be available on Saturday for you to call or message her 10 am - 4 pm. In addition, there is a possibility for meeting as a group via Zoom at 4 pm - 5 pm.
Next week there will be a possibility for you to participate to a Peer support hour together with Uni Chaplain Mia & co via Zoom every day Mon-Fri at 3-4 p.m. Here is the Zoom link for those support hours: https://utu.zoom.us/j/61088866396
Shutdown in Finland
The Finnish government decided to shut down Finland for 3 weeks (March 8 – 28 2021) due to the worsening COVID19 pandemic in Finland. If this doesn’t help to decrease the number of infections in Finland, it is possible that there will be a curfew waiting for us. Please notice this involves everybody living or staying in Finland.

CampusSport: gyms closed and badminton shifts cancelled starting from 19 March
All CampusSport gyms will be closed and badminton shifts cancelled for the time being starting from 19 March due to large amount of corona cases among the students of the universities in Turku. Individual services (massage, nutritional counseling, personal trainer services) will be available. However, personal trainer appointments can be held outside only. Online classes will continue.
