THE STUDENT UNION OF THE UNIVERSITY OF TURKU Updated corona guidelines have been publishedThese guidelines specify TYY's event instructions for organisations and students, made during the autumn as there may be a need to temporarily restrict events more, and on the other hand, events can be organised more freely in between. TYY is in constant contact with the authorities and we inform students and organisations about what guidelines will be followed. In addition to these guidelines, we provide guidelines for students to participate in the events and for organisations information package on training the participants. TYY honour committee is seeking proposals from organisations concerning people who have actively participated in the activities of the Student Union or organisations or are otherwise close to the Student Union. Please submit your proposal before 30 September. Registration as a foreigner to Finland - HETU PopUp at DVV on September 23 2020Every exchange student must obtain a personal Finnish Identity Code (’henkilötunnus’ in Finnish). The Digital and Population Data Services Agency (DVV) is responsible for issuing the ID codes. When you obtain a Finnish ID Code, you’ll be registered as a foreigner in Finland. If you are going to study in Pori, you’ll need to obtain the identity code from the The Digital and Population Data Services Agency in Pori. NB! Non-EU residents: even though you would have obtained a Finnish Identity Code during your residence permit application process, you’ll still need to be registered as a foreigner and therefore come to DVV too. The HETU Pop Up at DVV on September 23 2020: 9.30 am - 12 pm & 1 pm – 3 pm Camilla Saarinen nominated for SYL's Executive BoardThe Student Union of the University of Turku (TYY) nominates Camilla Saari, as 2021 member of the Board of the National Union of University Students in Finland (SYL). Student Union Council elected Saarinen as a candidate on the meeting on 15 September. Camilla Saarinen is a 23-year-old law and contemporary history student who dreams of working in the public sector.
