The University of Turku celebrates 100 years of science in 2020! The University Science Fair showcases the research done in University of Turku. The Opening Carnival introduces student organisations in Turku to new students. Fall in love with student theater, visit all the stands of subject organisations, and find a new academic hobby in the wide variety of hobby organisations.The Opening Carnival is bringing together students from all faculties! The carnival will also feature the University's and TYY’s services and partners. TYY grants marks of honour on its anniversaryOn its anniversary on Monday, 9 Nov 2020, the Student Union of the University of Turku will grant marks of honour and recognition. TYY honour committee is seeking proposals from organisations concerning people who have actively participated in the activities of the Student Union or organisations or are otherwise close to the Student Union. Please submit your proposal before 30 September. Sustainable Development Week 2020 is looking for volunteersCome to organise TYY's Sustainable Development Week 12-16 October! Theme Week is a collection of different events on campus and online. The purpose of the week is to increase awareness of sustainable development and inspire sustainable choices in everyday life. This year, in addition to remote events, small events are also organised on campus. A successful week also needs an enthusiastic organising team. As a member of the organising team, you can work on information or the implementation of events, if you wish. As an organiser, in addition to gaining valuable work experience, you will receive a work certificate and new contacts. By working in the event team, you can also get to know TYY's wings. The next meeting of the organising team will be held on Tuesday 15 September at 16.00 at TYY's office. You do not need to register in advance. All students registered with the University of Turku as attending or non-attending for the Spring semester 2019 and whose study right is still valid in 2020 autumn, will receive information on registration in June.
