Unica pick-up student-priced lunches also during the exceptional times

Unica restaurants want to make sure that it is possible for students to have student-priced lunches also during the exceptional circumstances. Although Unica's restaurants, as instructed, have closed their doors, students still have two options to choose from when it comes to student-priced lunches for 2.60 euros. Visit Assarin Ullakko or Unica Food Truck to pick up food.

TYY is looking for Wing members for autumn 2020 and academic year 2020-2021

Wings are a part of the Student Union and their goal is to make the Student Union a better place for everyone. In the Wings, you have the freedom to create new free time activities for students and to take care of students’ interests. The Wings are based on four different themes: development cooperation, environment, equality, and internationality.  

The application period starts on 8 April and ends on 20 April at 23.59. Applications are sent via TYY website form.

TYYlikäs Vappu is almost here!

TYY Vappu will be held remotely, and organisations are advised to follow guidelines and restrictions. This means that no physical events should be organised, also students are not encouraged to gather anywhere. In addition to remote Vappu, we have decided to organise a common celebration of starting a new academic year later in autumn. This will bring Vappu celebrations to autumn! Feel free to consider in your organisation whether you want to move the Vappu celebration to event 240 days until Vappu. This message contains a lot of information about remote Vappu and its celebration in autumn. Therefore, please, read our message carefully and come join us in Vappu celebration.

TYY International Wing: Cooking with the TYY International Wing, live!

TYY International Wing is happy to invite you to live cooking. Earlier, all the outdoor events have been cancelled due to COVID-19 until further notice. The good news is that the TYY International Wing has decided to host a series of events online so that you can join us virtually. The first event will comprise of the Wing members cooking live with you on Zoom, quizzes and other fun online activities. The recipes will be provided to you before the event so that you can also prepare the ingredients if you would like to cook with us. Join us for the afternoon, show off your cooking skills, or just sit back, enjoy the live-stream and try later at a suitable time! The event is open for all the students and free of charge.

Coronavirus pandemic halts internationalisation – how the virus continues to impact globalisation

The backbone of internationalisation is partnerships with organisations, institutions, universities and multilateral networks that support student and scholar mobility. There is no doubt that globalisation is being affected with every passing day of the pandemic. However, one can hope that by joint efforts we will overcome the coronavirus crisis and undo the damage. Finland needs international talent, and it does have lots to offer.
