Student Union Council Elections 2019
In the elections for the Student Union Council on 1 – 6 November 2019, 41 representatives were chosen among the eligible members of the TYY to the Council of the Student Union of the University of Turku.
The new Student Union Council will start its two-year term in January 2020. The Council is the highest decision-making authority in the Student Union. It decides on what the Student Union will do in each of the two years while in office. It uses this power by determining how much money will be used and for what purposes.

Welcome to the international career fair Study and Stay in Turku 11 November
Are you interested in studying or working in Turku, but don't know how to get your dream job or what degree programmes that are available? Or are you interested in a career in research?
Study and Stay in Turku is a career fair for International students in the Turku area. It does not matter whether you are here on exchange studies, studying for an international degree, or if you are a recent graduate or a doctoral candidate.
Come and listen to inspiring stories from international alumni, meet recruiters from interesting companies, and learn how to make the most of your LinkedIn profile.

TYY Sustainable Development Week
TYY Sustainable development week will be held during the week number 43 – from 21st to 27th of October. During this week, we shall discuss the future, our way of life and the ways of bearing our part of responsibility to take better care of our planet.

November is the month of celebration!
TYY Annual Ball 9 November 2019 at Akatemiatalo. Festivities start with a cocktail party at Vanha Raatihuone, 16:00 and Gala dinner is served at Akatemiatalo, 18:00. Academic Brunch (silliaamiainen) on Sunday 10 November 11:00 and onwards at TYY’s Sauna (Rehtorinpellonkatu 4).

Contemporary dance duet THE DAYS is an intimate dive into one relationships history
Arresting and praised Contemporary dance piece visits Turku City Theatre, Sopukka Stage 11.11. and 12.11. THE DAYS was premiered in December 2018 in Dance Moon Festival of Pori. Concept and direction of the performance is by renown English choreographer Theo Clinkard and it is performed by two unique Finnish dancers, Maria Nurmela and Ville Oinonen. One singular physical concept carries throughout the performance creating an ever changing physical, psychological and metapfhorical landscape. The Days engenders a world of ever shifting negotiations, complex feelings and comic disconnection. Caught in an impossible loop of absurd and heartfelt exchanges, the performers journey takes the form of a lifetime shared, in this compelling performance about care, resilience and the desire for connection.
