Do you want to have your hand visible in one of the most traditional and cross-disciplinary events in Turku? Now you have a chance to apply for an event organiser for Fastlaskiainen, held on 28 Feb 2017. As an event organiser, you can influence programme contents and develop the event even better. At the same time, you develop contacts with the largest Student Unions in Turku.
Organising Fastlaskiainen provides uniquely valuable work experience in planning a large public event, project management and team work in an encouraging atmosphere, as part of a youthful and inspiring work community.
The tasks of the event organiser include:
Organising and coordinating the entire event
Planning the programme and managing registrations
Planning of the communication
Obtaining premises, transports, permits, guardians of order and audio system
Contact with cooperation parties
Organising necessary cleaning
Developing the event
Other eventual tasks under the contract.
We require organisational skills, initiative, activity, cooperation skills and stress management skills. Experience in organising events and Swedish and English skills are considered an asset.
The event organiser receives support and guidance necessary in the work, and has the material of previous years at one’s disposal. The event organiser works in cooperation with the Members responsible for Student Culture of the Executive Boards of TYY, ÅAS, TUO and Novium, and may recruit a team of volunteers to help, if one so desires.
The event organiser is paid a fee of €450 for organising the event (including holiday remuneration). The official superior of the organiser is TYY Secretary General.

The search is anonymous and part of the applicants are interviewed, if necessary, during week 47. The selection is made by TYY Executive Board and the works starts as soon as the result is published.
