NOTE! The coming academic year will bring changes to the payment of the student's health care fee. Previously the student's health care fee was paid together with the student union membership fee, for the entire academic year, but with the Student Health Care Act, which enters into force at the beginning of 2021, FSHS services are paid together with the Student Union membership fee only for the autumn semester 2020. From January 2021, the compulsory student health care fee will be paid to Kela every semester, always at the beginning of the spring and autumn semesters.

The right to use FSHS services for the autumn semester begins on 1 August and ends on 31 December. For the spring semester, starts on 1 January and ends on 31 July.

If you have booked an appointment at FSHS, the membership fee must be paid before the FSHS appointment, even if the reception time is before the due date of the Student Union's membership fee payment. Information on the payment of the membership fee is transferred to FSHS within a few days of the payment of the fee. Be prepared to prove a valid Student Union membership with either a valid student card or a university attendance certificate.

NOTE! Also, the Self-service cannot be used if the fee has not been paid.

If you graduate in the spring semester of 2020, you can use FSHS services regardless of your graduation for as long as your Student Union membership is valid, ie until the end of July 2020.

If you are going on a trip in the summer, be sure to take care of the vaccinations and the recipes you need in advance. For more information, visit the FSHS Travel health advice at Also, read the information provided by THL (Finnish institute for health and welfare).
