The purpose of the survey is to gather students’ views on whether they prefer to read materials electronically or in print. Materials include books, articles and course readings. The target group is degree students and PhD students from all disciplines.

The survey is available until 17th of April, 2015, and it will take only about 5 minutes to complete. The questionnaire is anonymous and the respondents cannot be identified on the basis of their answers.

The survey will be carried out in 25 countries simultaneously, but the Finnish data will be analysed in Finland by the department of Information Studies of the University of Oulu. The main objective of the survey is an international comparison, and its findings will be published in a scientific journal and also presented in an international conference. It would be important to make also Finland’s contribution visible in the results!
