The Student Union of the University of Turku is looking for new members for the Accessibility Working Group for 2016
Accessibility Working Group consists of students who promote the realization of accessibility at the University of Turku. The aim of the working group is to make the university accessible so that it systematically considers the versatility of students in its activities and learning environments.
The central modes of action of the working group include reviving discussion, influencing decision-making and communication accessibility issues. The working group convenes circa once a month and is open to all interested. The working group has annually different kinds of focuses in its activities when student’s accessibility can be promoted with a specific perspective. Accessibility working group will also participate in TYY’s equality work, including training, spatial planning and development of education.
The working group is looking for president and 5-7 student members who are interested and motivated to work with accessibility issues. Previous experience in organisational activities, suitable studies or experience in the accessibility and equality issues are seen as an advantage. Applying is done through TYY’s website’s electronic form. The call for applications ends on 29 November at 23.59.
Applications will be handled anonymously and the Student Union Executive Board will make the decision in its meeting.
