Turun ylioppilaslehti – Turku Student Newspaper is an independent student newspaper published by TYY, which comes out seven times per year.
It has been published since 1931, and its circulation totals approximately 11,000. The newspaper is written mostly in Finnish, but offers also stories in English in every paper
The aim of the newspaper is to serve as a publication connecting the entire Student Union and working in close cooperation with the student movement. The newspaper observes the world primarily from the point of view of a university student and tells stories worth to be told. The newspaper is published with TYY funds and advertisement income. The Executive Committee of Turku Student Newspaper controls the finances, distribution and pressing of the paper.
The editorial staff of the newspaper consists of the Editor-in-Chief Teemu Perhiö and Editorial Intern Vy Tram and civilian service journalist Miika Tiainen. Also a large group of assistants participate in making the newspaper, consisting of writers and illustrators. Those interested in writing should offer their stories by mail firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also send hints and feedback to the same address.
Turun ylioppilaslehti is distributed in the distribution points at the campus area, in addition to which the members of TYY can subscribe to it with the postal cost 8,95 €. Those living in the Student Village, Student Houses in Halinen, Räntämäki and Tavasti receive the paper free-of-charge in their home.
