The University of Turku carried out an internal evaluation of the international Master’s Degree Programmes in spring 2018. The evaluation was carried out by the evaluation group appointed by the Rector and chaired by Vice-Rector Riitta Pyykkö. As a part of the evaluation the evaluation group is hosting the Evaluation Seminar directed to all members of staff as well as students interested in international degree programmes and their development.
The evaluation of master's degree programmes was done based on self-evaluation reports from faculties, student feedback (International Student Barometer) collected in 2017 and interviews. The report written based on the evaluation will be published in the Evaluation Seminar. It is also a platform for staff and students to discuss the future of our master's degree programmes. The Evaluation Seminar open to all will be held 20.9.2018 from 13.00 to 16.00 in the TSE Osuuskauppasali. It is also possible to follow the seminar online.
The link for online participation will be updated here and to the Event Calendar by 18.9.
During the evaluation process, the evaluation group has identified several development themes that should be put into effect on the University level. These can then help in the development of the faculty and programme level processes as well as to define the strategies involving the international programmes in the University. The themes include:
University level directives
Administration and academic leadership
Collection and spreading of good practices
Integration and well-being of students
These themes will be the focus of the seminar. The programme is as follows:
