Aprillirock

Student bands will get the chance to play on the stages of S-Osis and TVO! They’ll get half hour stage time, exposure though PR, expert feedback and an opportunity to play on Vappu, the First of May! The TYYlikäs Vappu picnic is an event of thousands of students and other Turku residents on Vappu, 1 May 2009. The winning band will be paid for their performance at the picnic.

A panel of music specialists will be selecting the band at Aprillirock for the Vappu picnic.  There will also be a story on the panel’s favourite band in Turku Student Newspaper! All of the bands will get feedback in writing. At least one band member must be a TYY member in order to participate, however no performance experience or particular music genre is required. The purpose is to get as many bands from the University of Turku to play under the same roof. Aprillirock is also an excellent opportunity for TYY sub-organisations’ actors who are responsible for events and culture to find new performers for their events!

Aprillirock will be held in the student nation spaces of S-Osis and TVO, located at the Student Houses at Rehtorinpellonkatu 4-6.

The bands begin to play at 6.30 pm, the doors will be open at 6 pm. Tickets 2 €.
