The Student Union of the University of Turku is searching for an assistant for the Starting Package Storage

The student unions of the University of Turku and Åbo Akademi University, and the University of Applied Sciences maintain the Starting Package Storage for exchange students where a starting package can be rented. The package includes essential kitchenware as well as a blanket, pillow and curtains. Especially in December, when a lot of exchange students are returning their packages, and in January, when many exchange students arrive, the regular personnel of the Starting Package Storage need assistance.

The Student Union of the University of Turku is hiring an assistant to help in the storage during the opening hours of the Starting Package Storage approximately from 7 December 2011 to 11 January 2012. The assistant will work max. 40 hours during this period. Exact working hours will be decided later. The salary is €9.11/hour.

Requirements for the job include excellent English-language skills, ability to work in stressful situations, experience of customer service and ability to follow instructions. Other language skills, experience with exchange students, the starting package storage (e.g. through international tutoring) and communications are seen as a plus.
