Student Union information for new exchange students

Dear new exchange student,

the Student Union of the University of Turku (TYY) would like to welcome you to Turku!

We are your Student Union while you study in Turku and ready to represent you and provide you with services. As a member of a student union you are entitled to a variety of benefits. TYY services for the members include for example basic health care, TYY Student Library, subsidised student lunches and free of charge consultations with a lawyer. With a valid Finnish student card you will also get discounts on long distance buses and trains, in museums and sports arenas and in many shops. The Secretariat of the Student Union offers the members general help and consultation in academic, social and international affairs. Please mark to your calender the huge WELCOME PARTY for all the new international students of the three universities in Turku on 12 January, 9pm - 4am at Klubi. You will have a free entrance ticket in your TYY welcome package. Check the event in Facebook and click attending, we would love to see who all we are going to meet soon.
