TYY Committee on Development Cooperation

The TYY Committee on Development Cooperation helps make the world a better place with words and by action. Solidarity and justice guides its actions. The group’s most important jobs include the managing of TYY’s development cooperation project which supports the indigenous Wixarika people of Mexico, distributing information on development cooperation affairs and organising development cooperation themed events. The Committee also works in cooperation with national associations in Turku. You do not have to be an official member to participate in the Committee’s activities. Meetings are open to everyone and new students and ideas are welcome with open arms!

A development cooperation supplement is published for one of the spring issues of Turku Student Newspaper. The supplement always needs all sorts of voices, stories and writers.. We welcome you to do some development cooperation at TYY!

More information on the activities and current events regarding the TYY Committee on Development Cooperation is available online at http://org.utu.fi/tyykehy, by joining the maailmaninfo e-mail list, which is shared with the TYY Committee on International Affairs, or by contacting the Committee chair.
